Student Instruction by Educator Type

Why do we measure this?

Researchers have shown that teaching experience is positively associated with student achievement gains. In addition, over half of our Oklahoma students are identified as economically disadvantaged. Because of this, it is important to examine the number and percentage of educators in different categories so that we have a better understanding of who is providing instruction to our students, especially those being served in our high and low poverty schools.

What was measured?

Data displayed here show the percentage of instruction provided to students by educator type as defined .

Data displayed here also show whether a school is considered high or low poverty based on the percentage of students that qualify for free or reduced-price lunch (FRPL).

  • A school is Low Poverty when 25% or less of its students qualify for FRPL.
  • A school is High Poverty when 75% or more of its students qualify for FRPL.
