ALTUS PRIMARY SCHOOL

01 - 02 Grades

School attendance is a baseline factor in determining student success. Successful schools begin by engaging students and making sure they come to school regularly.

Because of the Accountability waivers for SYs 2019-2020 and 2020-2021, measures of student-level attendance were not required to undergo typical processes prior to public reporting (i.e., Chronic Absenteeism Medical Exemption Window, data verification request window). These data (from federal EDFacts reporting) should not be used for evaluative or comparative purposes.

Attendance

Why do we measure this?

Regular attendance is predictive of student and school success. Students cannot learn if they are not present for instruction; an absence of as few as two days per month may put students at risk of falling behind academically.

What was measured?

Data displayed here show the percentage of students that were in good attendance.
